Wednesdays: the Amphitheatre concert series

When George's is leading with a chilled soup, that tells you something about the Gulf catch that week. When Raw & Juicy sets up a matcha station instead of a smoothie one, that is a menu direction, not a promotion.
The event format has been running successfully since late June, when the June 25 Walkabout drew a strong turnout for Fly By Radio. Expect the same formula to carry into the July Thursdays.
The Fourth: the one day the pattern breaks
July 4 is the exception. Instead of the Amphitheatre being a single evening destination, it operates from morning through night, and the town's attention shifts to the Gulf for the finale.

The fireworks caveat worth knowing
If you live here, this is the detail that saves you from a rescheduled evening. Fireworks are weather and Gulf-condition dependent. While conditions at Alys Beach may appear favorable, the display may be canceled if conditions near Destin Harbor are deemed unsafe for the fireworks barge to travel or operate.
The tell is not the sky above Alys. It is the marine forecast west of here. If Destin Harbor has a small-craft advisory posted by midday on the third, treat the fireworks as a coin flip and plan your evening in a way that survives cancellation. The concert itself has generally still gone forward on those nights.
What the July programming reveals about the town
A quick read on the calendar tells you something the marketing copy will not. Alys is programming for people who are already inside the walls, not for people trying to decide whether to visit.
Consider the ticketing. The Wednesday concert series is free. The Thursday Summer Savor tastings are complimentary while supplies last. The Fourth is a public event. The one paid wellness morning on the summer calendar, Flow Into Summer on June 20, ran at $15 per person, a price point that reads as a threshold to keep the yoga session civil rather than a revenue play. When the town charges, it charges at signature-event level, which is the Digital Graffiti model, not the weekly-programming model.
The Digital Graffiti comparison matters here because it clarifies what July is for. Digital Graffiti, which ran May 15 and 16 this year and will assume a biennial format – every two years – next celebrating 20 years in May 2028, is the outward-facing marquee. It draws visitors from outside the region and prices accordingly, with Family Night Finale tickets at $60 per adult, $20 for ages 5 to 20, and free for children under 5. July is the opposite instinct. It is the town programming for itself.
How locals actually sequence the month

- Use the last Thursday of the month for Summer Savor if you want a real read on what the restaurants are planning for the fall pivot. Menus tend to shift the week after.
The rhythm also creates natural gaps. Monday and Tuesday are quiet by design, which is why they are the best days for a Caliza morning or a walk to the Amphitheatre fountain with kids who want the water feature to themselves. Friday and Saturday belong to the vacation cycle, so the residents who want their town back tend to reappear on Sunday morning.
Looking ahead to the fall calendar
The July cadence gives way in November to Alys Beach Crafted, the town's fall signature weekend, which returns with Firkin Fête at Central Park on Thursday, November 12th, 2026 at 5 PM, and Experiential Dinners at Red Loggia at Caliza, George's at Alys Beach, and The Summerhouse at the Silva. The through-line between July and Crafted is the same infrastructure. The Amphitheatre, the Gulf Green, the Town Center, and the Pedestrian Path do the work; the calendar tells them what role to play that week.
